From 17 January 2026: Illuseum Berlin – Where Illusions Protect the Seas

After almost eight years of successful museum history, the Illuseum Berlin is beginning a new chapter. From a place of wonder and playful deception, it is becoming a museum that takes a stance. Especially in times like these, when environmental crises, climate change, and species extinction are becoming increasingly palpable, every voice for nature and the oceans is needed more than ever.
With its realignment, the Illuseum Berlin combines fascinating installations with themes such as plastic pollution, overfishing, and climate change, encouraging visitors to take responsibility and question their own perspective on the environment and consumption.
A key component of the repositioning is collaboration with local artists. Berlin-based artists are developing new installations and illusions specifically for the Illuseum that combine perception and marine conservation. This creates a lively dialogue between art, science, and visitors – locally anchored and globally relevant.
A portion of the profits will be specifically allocated to marine conservation organisations and activists. This way, every visit becomes an active contribution to preserving the oceans.
